I first drew and colored this pic. almost exactly one year ago.
Over break I re-inked the image and went about fixing it up. I think it looks much better now. I was planning on redrawing the characters too, but I had a request to leave them be.

By realizing that their way of life is in danger, Nala decides she must leave her pride and her home to find help. Her family, at first reluctant, realizes that without her help, the Pride Lands will meet it's end and along with Rafiki, sends her off with their blessing and prays that one day she will be back.
